Based in Dallas, Steward + Helm is focused on delivering high quality apartment living experiences to working households by acquiring, improving and managing multifamily communities that have long suffered from neglect and underperformance.

We strive to be good stewards of the communities we operate, supported by mission-driven team members who take the helm to deliver great living experiences.

The company was founded by Chief Executive Officer Jon P. Venetos and Ashley Venetos, the head of the company’s Client and Partner Group, who combine unmatched investment expertise with a heartfelt, people-first approach to operations. Jon’s experience includes a family legacy in real estate, while Ashley offers deep credentials in marketing, capital raising and investor relations.

Supported by more than 200 dedicated team members, we own and operate nearly 50 apartment communities in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana and Texas – all acquired since December 2019 in growing markets that need quality rental housing to support economic growth.

The quality of life of our residents is our guiding light. We work hard to improve their apartment homes by making service a priority and by investing in extensive property redevelopment by upgrading building systems, interiors, amenities, landscaping and more.
